Green areas denote central half of the simulation ensemble as delimited by inner and outer quartiles, and red areas denote ensemble range. For the grand ensemble, solid line denotes median of grand ensemble (including simulations with and without precipitation), while dashed and dotted lines denote medians of ensembles with and without precipitation, respectively. For the others, ensembles are separated into simulations with and without precipitation. In the .png images for individual simulations, a white line denotes the individual simulation and a black line denotes the ensemble median (black and white are reversed in .ps images).
Fluxes not in kinematic units have been renormalized with a reference density profile (from DHARMA).
Measured averages (high and low estimates where uncertainty is available) are shown as blue lines. Measured profiles are shown as open and closed circles for open and closed cells, respectively.
Surface fluxes of precipitation, &thetal, and qt from the scalar output are shown as triangles in the corresponding profiles.
