ISCCP D1 AND DX DATA FORMATS FOR WISP
A subset of D1 data for the WISP region is available for downloading on a 2.5 x 2.5 degree equal angle grid, in either IEEE floating point or ASCII text format. A subset of DX data for the WISP region is available for downloading on a 0.5 x 0.5 degree equal angle grid, in either IEEE floating point or ASCII text format.
The D1 data is gridded on a 2.5 x 2.5 degree equal angle global grid. The D1 subset grid is 36 x 24 (longitude x latitude) and has a total of 864 cells. Longitude varies first, and begins at 145W and proceeds eastward to 55W in increments of 2.50 degrees. Latitude begins at the equator and proceeds northward to 60N in increments of 2.50 degrees.
The DX data is gridded on a 0.5 x 0.5 degree equal angle global grid. The DX subset grid is 180 x 120 (longitude x latitude) and has a total of 21600 cells. Longitude varies first, and begins at 145W and proceeds eastward to 55W in increments of 0.5 degrees. Latitude begins at the equator and proceeds northward to 60N in increments of 0.5 degrees.
Data is written using the IEEE standard for floating-point representation.
ASCII text format
Data is written with a field width of 10 characters. The precision is 3 decimal places.
