Information on upcoming field experiments of interest to WG3 are described in this Section. Initial comments are shown below but this will be augmented as additional information on detailed observations becomes available.
The north-central focus of GCIP is on cold season process in which extra-tropical layer cloud systems are a key element. By taking advantage of the many surface-based measurements within the continental U.S., there is a tremendous opportunity for WG3 to develop a dataset to address continental systems.
