GPCP ONE-DEGREE DAILY PRECIPITATION DATA FORMATS FOR LBA
A subset of GPCP One-Degree Daily Precipitation data for the LBA region is available for downloading on a 0.50 x 0.50 degree equal angle grid, in either IEEE floating point or ASCII text format.
The data is gridded on a 0.50 x 0.50 degree equal angle global grid. The subset grid is 110 x 80 (longitude x latitude) and has a total of 8800 cells. Longitude varies first, and begins at 90W and proceeds eastward to 35W in increments of 0.50 degrees. Latitude begins at 30S and proceeds northward to 10N in increments of 0.50 degrees.
Data is written using the IEEE standard for floating-point representation.
ASCII text format
Data is written with a field width of 10 characters. The precision is 3 decimal places.
SPECIAL DATA VALUES:
FILE SIZES
The 1DD data were provided by the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center's Laboratory for Atmospheres, which develops and computes the 1DD as a contribution to the GEWEX Global Precipitation Climatology Project.
