The link below provides more detailed information about the forcing: http://www.arm.gov/xdc/xds/ecmwf. Temperature and moisture profiles from the ARM TWP-ICE SCM forcing data are also used to adjust the values at the domain boundaries (11.0 - 13.5 S, 129.5 - 132.0 E) to observed values every 6 hour. Both data sets can be requested from ARM data archive. The model has 1.33 km grid spacing with 30 vertical layers, with the Thompson microphysics scheme, the Yonsei University PBL scheme, a thermal diffusion land surface scheme with fixed climatological soil moisture, the RRTM longwave radiation scheme, and the Dudhia shortwave radiation scheme, and is run with a 3.33-sec time step. The original output frequency is 5-min. The data provided here are at 10-min frequency. == The dataset == The model is run from 12Z 1/19/2006 to 12Z 1/22/2006 for the active period and from 12Z 2/9/2006 to 12Z 2/12/2006 for the break period. The first 12-hour is regarded as a spin up period and is discarded. The model output provided here ranges from 0Z 1/20/2006 – 12Z 1/22/2006 for the active period and from 0Z 2/10/2006 – 12Z 2/12/2006 for the break period with sampling every 10-min. The local time over Darwin, Australia is (GMT+9:30). One netcdf file contains 1-hr of output. There are 60 files for each period with a size of ~200MB per compressed file. The file name has the format as: wrfout_d01_2006-01-20_00:00:00. == Files == README_WRF.txt -> this file. NETCDF_HEADER.txt -> sample netcdf header file from the data. wrfout_d01_2006-??-??_??:00:00 data files.
